Sentencing calculator

This free web tool helps defendants, lawyers, and judges to calculate Summers, Duncan, and Downes credit in Ontario sentencing proceedings.

Enter the dates of pre-trial custody periods, specify any days with harsh conditions for Duncan credit, and add bail periods for Downes credit if applicable. The calculator will automatically compute the total sentencing credit and show the remaining time to be served after credits are applied.

Users can also enter the sentencing date and determine when a defendant will be released from custody on receiving a particular sentence.
